About me
Young (well, kinda), dynamic, unsuccessful…
I’m a student at Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) in the degree course Information Engineering and Management (M.Sc.). When I’m not studying, I work for IT at the Department of Economics and Business Engineering, manage the IT environment at the Institute for Botany 2 and administrate several Linux servers at the Institute AIFB to pay the bills. Additionally I started with my bachelor thesis about Byzantine Fault Tolerance with an exemplary implementation in a well known open source project using the UpRight library.
In my spare time I like to read fantasy novels, watch (English) TV series and movies and go swimming every now and then. To relax I casually play World of Warcraft.
I’m interested in Cloud Computing, dynamic web development, web services, fault tolerance and a range of technical gadgets. For developement purposes I have a fair knowledge of C++, Java, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL and a range of content management systems (RedDot, Typo3, Mediawiki, WordPress, Joomla to name a few). I’m always looking for interested projects in the above areas.
